Canada’s new forced labour and child labour reporting requirements (Bill S-211) – are you ready?

January 23, 2024

12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

As the focus on companies’ ESG practices continues to grow at home and abroad, the federal government has created a new legal obligation, Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act (Bill S-211), for companies with a nexus to Canada to report on forced labour and child labour across their global supply chains. This new and far-reaching obligation will apply to a broad set of companies. Corporations with a nexus to Canada must direct their attention to whether they have a reporting obligation, and if so, how to meet it in advance of May 31, 2024 (when the first reports are due). Speaker: Aaron Emes, Head of Opinions and Research, Torys LLP

Join us for this webinar in this series where we explore the breadth of forced labour and child labour reporting requirements and strategies for companies to consider in meeting this new obligation
